"צוהרי היום" – תערוכת יחיד חדשה של האמנית רוני אלמגור

עבודתה של אלמגור בוחנת את הסימביוזה של האדם וסביבתו הטבעית ואת רצונו של האדם להיות ליד הטבע. שם התערוכה, צוהרי היום, הוא הזמן ביום בו האור קבוע, ללא זריחה או שקיעה. משמעות המילה צוהר היא חלון קטן, אשנב או פתח לאור. כל העבודות של אלמגור מתארות את אמצע היום, בדיוק בצהריים. הצמחים והצומח עברו את הבוקר, גנים ופארקים מוארים באור היום, בריכות נוי עירוניות וחלונות מזהיבים, עציצים או גפנים מצוירים כנוף מיקרו, כמעט פרט של סצינה גדולה יותר.
בעוד שהציורים של אלמגור חסרי בני אדם, ישנה הרגשה כאילו אתם עומדים ממש ליד הצמח או החלון וזה מדגיש את הרצון להיות נוכח בטבע. הציורים נוצרו במיוחד עבור חלל התצוגה ביפו ומתארים בעיקר את יפו העתיקה.

Almagor’s work examines the symbiosis of man and his natural environment and man’s desire to be near nature. The name of the exhibition, Tzoharey Hayom, is the time of day in which light is constant, no sunrise or sunset. It also describes a small window, porthole or opening to the light. In English, this time of day is High Noon. All of Almagor’s works depict High Noon, exactly midday. The plants and flora passed daily, local vegetation, well established gardens and parks, urban ornamental ponds and windows holding potted plants or growing vines are painted as micro views, almost a detail of a larger scene.
While Almagor's paintings are void of humans, one feels as if you are standing right next to the plant or window emphasizing the desire to be in nature. The paintings were created specifically for the exhibition space in Jaffa and portray mainly old Jaffa.
