סמנט הינו סטודיו למוצרי בית ויודאיקה עכשוויים מבטון הממוקם ביפו העתיקה. בעיצובה של מרית מייסלר מיוצרים אובייקטים יומיומיים ותשמישי קדושה בעבודת יד שמשלבים בתוכם איכויות ארכיטקטוניות במוצרים שימושיים מבטון. בעזרת יצירת סנתזה בין קודש לחול, עיצוב עכשווי ואסתטיקה נוצר מארג המשנה את התודעה בחיבור שבין תשמישי קדושה ועיצוב הבית.
מרית מייסלר נולדה ביפו העתיקה והינה בוגרת בהצטיינות של המחלקה לעיצוב תעשייתי באקדמיה לאומנות ועיצוב בצלאל בירושלים. עבודותיה הוצגו במוזאונים ברחבי העולם. היא לימדה בפראט אינסטיטיוט בניו-יורק, בבצלאל אקדמיה לאומנות ועיצוב בירושלים ומלמדת כיום בשנקר בית הספר הגבוה להנדסה ולעיצוב.
ceMMent is a design studio in the Old City of Jaffa Israel featuring contemporary household objects, home decor and Modern Judaica. Designed by Marit Meisler the objects are hand made from concrete, bringing an architectural quality to household objects. ceMMent creates a synthesis of modern design with religious artifacts.
Marit Meisler was born and raised in the Old City of Jaffa, Israel. She is a Product Design graduate with distinction from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem. Her work has been featured in numerous museums. Marit has taught at the Pratt Institute in New York, in the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem and is currently teaching at The Shenkar College of Engineering and Design.
